Close Protection

SIRS has several opportunities for employment Close Protection throughout 2018. These tasks involve the planning and implementation of close protection and escorting of celebrities, dignitaries and VIPs. Employees will be contracted dependent as tasks arise.

  • All SIRS staff need to be Close Protection qualified (City and Guilds Level 3 or Equivalent), SIRS can help you gain this qualification.
  • All SIRS staff must have a clean criminal record and consent to a police check.
  • All SIRS staff must consent to Random Drug testing.
  • All SIRS staff must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

Event Security and Front of House

SIRS currently provides security at a number of major events around New Zealand and provides front of house security at clubs and bars. Our team specialises in providing friendly and professional security solutions. These tasks are of both a casual and weekly.

  • All SIRS staff need to be PSPLA COA  qualified, however SIRS can help you gain this qualification.
  • All SIRS staff must have a clean criminal record and consent to a police check
  • All SIRS staff must consent to Random Drug testing.
  • All SIRS staff must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

Team Leader / Static Guard

SIRS is currently providing  security at a number of locations around  New Zealand, we are  seeking  dedicated and motivated static guards and Team leaders to join our staff.

Our team specialises in providing friendly and professional security solutions for your static locations, the role is full time and casual.

To be considered for this roles you must be able to obtain a Certificate of Approval (COA) licence issued by The Private Security Personnel Licensing Authority, Experience in the security industry. 

As a Security team leader you will need to be a great team player with exceptional customer service and organisational skills, have conflict management skills and be well presented. 

The key personal requirements of these roles require:

  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional at all times
  • A strong work ethic and desire to take ownership of your role
  • Good awareness of computer systems
  • COA
  • Must have Full NZ driving license 
  • Reliable transport
  • Ability to write reports
  • High levels of personal presentation.
  • Prior experience in security is essential
  • NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa

As  a Team Leader You will be responsible for: 

  • Client and contractor communication
  • Support staff deployments
  • Checking safety of static guards throughout the shift
  • The writing of detailed patrol and incident reports.
  • Random patrols of premises.
  • Carry out CCTV reviews of security incidents as required
  • Unlocking premises for morning access.
